Anne and David Allison, weavers of 'wondrous things', have spent many years learning, researching and practising the arts of spinning, dyeing and weaving.
Their interest in history has led not only to work with textiles, but also to participating in many historical activities. These include
re-enacting French and Indian War, American Revolution events; Highland Games and also working as volunteers at the Mountain Gateway Museum in Old Fort, Hickory Ridge Homestead in Boone and sites throughout the Southeast U.S.. The Allisons work weekends at the Biltmore Estate as fiber artists.
This experience with living history and actual use of colonial materials has led to the production of textiles that are not only authentic but very functional. They hope that you will enjoy owning and using these items as much as they enjoy the path that led to their creation.
